How FlowDesk works

Two halves, one workspace

FlowDesk is split across two devices that only need to share a Wi-Fi network: a host agent on your Mac or Windows PC, and an app on your Android XR headset. Neither side needs anything plugged in.

Your PC treats it as a real screen.

FlowDesk adds a brand-new display to your computer. It shows up in your display settings just like a monitor you plugged in — drag any app straight onto it.

They find each other. You just say yes.

Your headset spots your computer on the same Wi-Fi. Scan a QR code to pair, and you approve the headset from your desk before anything ever streams.

Every pixel travels once.

Your screen travels to your headset by the shortest route possible, so the picture stays crisp and responsive.

Your hands, forwarded.

Click, double-click, drag, scroll, type. Everything you do in the headset lands on your computer as if you were using a mouse and keyboard right there.

What happens when you tap Add Monitor

Pairing is a one-time step. After that, adding a new screen is a single tap that runs through six steps, end to end:

1. You tap “Add Monitor” in the headset
2. Your PC spins up a brand-new display
3. FlowDesk opens a dedicated panel for it
4. The display and panel are linked together
5. The new display starts streaming live
6. A floating screen appears in your room

A full session, start to finish

Here's the complete flow the first time you open FlowDesk and set up a monitor, and every time after that:

1. Open FlowDesk in your headset
2. It finds your computer
3. Tap Add Monitor
4. Your PC creates a new display
5. Your PC recognizes it
6. Drag an app onto it
7. It streams to your headset
8. It floats as a screen in your room
9. You work in it
10. Repeat — no restarts, ever
